If you’re interested in learning more about Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), supporting individuals experiencing psychosis, assessing and managing suicidality or self-harm behaviors, or foundational principles of psychodynamic psychotherapy, please reach out.

Whether you’re looking to strengthen your practice, integrate new modalities, or gain a fresh perspective through supervision or consultation, I aim to create a collaborative and growth-oriented learning environment. • We offer a complimentary, brief (~15-minute) initial phone call for prospective clients. This will give you a chance to share what you are interested in working on in therapy, and we can share about how we might help you. We are happy to answer any questions you have to help you determine if you are interested in scheduling a first session.

  • We are committed to providing online therapy to residents of California, ensuring services remain accessible and flexible. We utilize user-friendly, HIPAA-compliant software for online sessions.

Many components of psychological assessments, and sometimes full assessments, can be completed virtually. However, some tests require in-person administration. Please reach out for an initial consultation call to learn more.

  • Our rates are comparable to those of other empirically trained practitioners. Session fees represent the level of advanced training held by the practitioner. Payment is due at the time of the session. When you register as a new client, we ask that you put a debit or credit card on file. Venmo is not accepted due to privacy regulations.

  • Our practice does not accept insurance.

For all insurance companies, we are considered out-of-network providers. However, most insurance companies will cover some of the cost of out-of-network services.

At the time of service, you are responsible for the full payment. While we do not bill insurance companies directly, you can choose to submit your claim to your insurance company for reimbursement. We will provide you with a Superbill, an itemized form that contains the information most insurance companies need for an out-of-network claim. Before your first appointment, we recommend that you contact your insurance company directly to inquire about your out-of-network benefits. We recommend asking the following questions:

    • Does my insurance plan have benefits for out-of-network outpatient therapy?

    • What is my deductible amount? Has my deductible been met?

(A deductible is an amount you pay out-of-pocket in a calendar year before your health plan begins to pay. For example, if your deductible is $1,000, you must pay that amount on health services before your insurer starts paying your health care costs.)

    • What is the allowable amount or percentage of reimbursement per session?

    • Is there a limited number of covered sessions per year?

    • How do I submit a claim? What specific information is required to submit a claim for reimbursement?

Learn more about using out-of-network benefits here.

  • We tailor our approach to your goals. Most people find a weekly, 50-minute therapy session to be an effective frequency. Others prefer to come twice a week. On occasion, we can offer therapy every other week.

  • No, we do not prescribe medication. There are times when medication can be helpful in addition to psychotherapy. If you are interested in medication, we can refer you to a provider who is licensed to prescribe medication (i.e., a psychiatrist, psychiatric nurse practitioner, or primary care doctor).
