Connor Adams, PsyD | she/they
Practice Founder, Psychotherapist
I work with adults (18+) seeking support around trauma, relationships, coping skill development, and psychosis. As a licensed clinical psychologist, I believe therapy should be deeply individualized — grounded not only in evidence-based practices, but also in your lived experiences, identity, and goals for change.
I have sought advanced training in multiple therapies to allow flexibility in our work together. I am committed to providing thoughtful and respectful care that incorporates your lived experiences into our therapy. My approach integrates skills-based therapies such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) alongside trauma-focused treatments, including Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) and Prolonged Exposure (PE). I also ground my work in a psychodynamic psychotherapy approach, helping individuals more deeply understand themselves and their patterns.
In addition to running my group private practice, I am also a Clinical Associate Professor at Stanford University. I have worked across various levels of care, providing clinical services in hospital-based outpatient settings, intensive outpatient programs (IOP), partial hospitalization programs (PHP), and psychiatric inpatient settings. This breadth of experience informs my ability to support individuals with complex and varied mental health needs.
I strive to help my clients leave therapy feeling both understood and validated, as well as empowered to try new skills and techniques to create meaningful change in their lives.
I am passionate about teaching and training, so I expanded my practice to include other therapists who are similarly dedicated to ongoing learning and clinical excellence. I offer clinical supervision and consultation to all therapists in the practice, so we can learn from and support each other. This helps ensure high-quality care from all practice providers so you can reach your goals.

Psychotherapist
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) and Associate Professional Clinical Counselor (APCC) specializing in teen and young adult mental health. I am currently accruing clinical hours under Dr. Adams’ supervision to pursue dual licensure.
My work focuses on trauma therapy and early psychosis treatment, supporting adolescents and young adults experiencing complex trauma, attachment trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, and clinical high-risk symptoms for psychosis. I understand how overwhelming and isolating these experiences can feel, and I strive to create a steady, compassionate space where clients and families feel supported and understood.
My approach integrates psychodynamic therapy, attachment-based therapy, nervous system regulation, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), and dialectic behavior therapy (DBT). I integrate these approaches, attending to both the mind and body, to help clients build emotional regulation, reduce distress, and better understand how past survival strategies may be shaping present-day patterns. Together, we can work toward greater stability, stronger relationships, and a more grounded, authentic sense of self.
In addition to my work in private practice, I serve as a clinical assessor and therapist in early psychosis and clinical high-risk syndromes at the University of California, San Francisco. I also bring prior experience supporting justice-involved youth and families through the University of Washington, which strengthened my commitment to supporting families during challenging times and helping them to find their strengths.

Psychotherapist
I specialize in working with adolescents, teens, and adults (12+) navigating trauma, identity development, and early psychosis. My work is grounded in compassion, collaboration, and evidence-based care, drawing from Attachment-Based Therapy, CBT, ACT, DBT, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and somatic modalities, tailoring treatment to your goals and lived experience. I am currently accruing clinical hours under Dr. Adams’ supervision to pursue dual licensure.
As a Certified Somatic Experiencing Practitioner (SEP), I emphasize the mind-body connection and help clients build nervous system regulation, increase emotional safety, and strengthen their sense of self. I support clients in processing traumatic experiences, restoring a sense of safety, and developing greater emotional resilience.
I also have specialized training in supporting individuals experiencing early psychosis or clinical high-risk symptoms. I integrate Compassion-Focused Therapy for Psychosis (CFTp) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Psychosis (CBTp) to help create stability, decrease fear and isolation, and support clients in maintaining connection to their goals, identity, and daily life.
I am especially passionate about supporting neurodivergent, LGBTQIA+, and disabled or chronically ill individuals. Together, we can work to help you move through the world in ways that feel authentic, values-aligned, and sustainable.
In addition to my clinical work, I am a Doctoral Candidate in Counselor Education and Supervision at the University of Nevada, Reno.
